Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. Her acting career began as a supporting actress in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). On the FX series Dirt the actress was Willa McPherson, reporter. She also appeared in the supporting role on the short-lived television show The Ex List. In the very first season, she was in the role of Moira O'Hara in the role of a young Moira and, in the second season, she played Kaylee. She was Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voiced a number of characters from Family Guy's animated comedy. Since her appearance in 2019, she has been starring as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother at the age of 10. They traveled for one year before they finally settled in Mill Valley. Breckenridge began to be interested in singing, acting, and photography when she was 13. At the age of 15, she moved with her mom back to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
