Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actress and singer whose acting variety earned her acclaim across a range of genres from period drama to action and thriller. Johansson grew up in New York City as the daughter of an architect, and also an executive from a production firm. She and her twin brother Hunter were the youngest siblings of four. When she was a kid she was able to begin acting. At 7 years old she was already auditioning for commercials in a variety of different ways. Soon after she enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and later took classes at the Professional Children's School in Manhattan for further training in her craft. In the year she turned eight old, she starred with Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in Off-Broadway productions. And at age nine she made her acting debut in Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson was later seen as a character in Just Cause (1995), but her first break was through Manny & Lo a coming of age film about sisters who run away. Next, she received the praise of critics for playing the role of a teenager who suffered an accident that left her damaged as she appeared in The Horse Whisperer (1998). She gained more attention for her performance in Ghost World (2002) as the self-deprecating outcast Rebecca. She is best known for her role as Nell Jones from the CBS sensation NCIS Los Angeles. The actress is one of the main cast members. Besides appearing on the series she's also a skilled stage actor. Her performances were stunning in Wildflower and in other productions. Renee Felice Smith began her journey into the entertainment industry from a young age. As a child she became interested in acting. Smith landed a first acting gig at the young age of six, with her parents' encouragement. Smith was in a Dannon commercial on TV. Similar to many actors starting out she decided to hone her craft in the world of theater. As she was making her stage debut in Wildflower she would also work in various projects throughout the USA. She attended the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
